Dajana has been dancing since her early age. At the age of 7 she took jazz dance lessons, but at that point not even in her wildest dreams did she think that one day it was all going to be about dance! Many years later she was “dragged” to her first belly dance lesson by her mom – it was love at first hip drop! :) In 2008 she discovered tribal fusion and in the same year visited her first Rachel Brice workshop. “What I love about tribal fusion is that I can use different music styles (World music fusions, Rock and Metal, Electronica…), the possibility to express my emotions through choreographies and movements and that I have the chance to meet dancers from all over the world on different events and workshops. I can count some of the dancers I’ve met this way to my very close friends.”

Until 2011 she has been a member of “Narya” dance group in Croatia. Through the group and as a solo performer she had the chance to perform alongside stars like Mira Betz, Susan Frankovich, Sharon Kihara, Samantha Emanuel, Manca Pavli, Zafira Dance Company und Amy Sigil – Unmata.

In 2011 Dajana joined Amaya Dance Company – Tribal Collective under the artistic direction of Manca Pavli for the Bellydance Infusion Project. The show went on tour in November and December (Slovenia, Croatia, Italy) after Tribal Collective’s debut at the Rachel Brice Gala show in September 2011.

She uses every opportunity to learn and evolve her dance style through workshops by renown dancers like Rachel Brice (US), Mira Betz (US), Manca Pavli (SLO), Susan Frankovich (US/CRO), Matthias Lauwers (BE) and many more.

Since 2010 Dajana is a dance instructor at Orientalgroove Graz in Austria, where she founded BURNING OPHELIAS Dance Company with couple of her students in 2011. With this group she wants to bring Tribal Fusion in Graz to a higher level.
